Established in 2000, originally known as Ted’s Bike Shop, becoming Hunter Valley Bicycle Centre in 2022, the store has grown to become one of the premier bike shop in the Hunter Region. There is a large range of bikes in store, from balance bikes, kids 12”, 16”, 20”, 24” and 26”, family bikes, hard tail and full suspension mountain bikes, road, triathlon and now the quickly growing e-bike category. Our friendly and experienced staff will give you expert advice to help find the right bike for you.

The shop was established by Ted who has been racing Ironman Triathlon for the last 18 years, and is a finisher at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship.

The shop changed ownership on the 1st September 2018 when it was purchased from Ted and Donna Anderson by Scott and Kerri Ellis.

Scott has a long history with the shop being there in 2000 when Ted opened up and working in the shop at various stages since. Scott has a triathlon background starting triathlons in 1993 when in the Army, competing in all distances from sprint to Ironman and competing for Australia in 2006 in Switzerland at the World Olympic Distance Triathlon championships.

Our Workshop caters for all aspects of cycling from small repairs to new bike builds and is regarded as one of the best in the area and our mechanical services are second to none. We can provide the most comprehensive bike fit service, ensuring correct set up – whatever your discipline: Road, Triathlon, MTB or BMX.
